What is more interesting is how the aftermath of the crime continued to affect Brian and Denise as they tried to carry on with their lives.

THERE IS NO ETHAN

By Anna Akbari

Reading this book, I first thought - this couldn’t be hap- pening, but it did, and it still does. The catfisher is Ethan Schuman, a charismatic individual who manipulates three women emotionally without seeking financial gain - which is the twist. The book delves into how technology facilitated this manipulation and explores the broader implications of trust and identity in the digital age.

BRINGING BEN HOME

By Barbara Bradley Hagerty

This is an excellent examination of the broken justice system. In 1987, Ben Spencer was wrongly convicted of murder due to flawed police work and prosecutorial misconduct. He spent thirty years in prison before being exonerated in 2021. Spencer’s case highlights the legal sys- tem’s flaws and how states are now implementing reforms to prevent such injustices.
